Policies for Accredited Courses
As part of the requirements for conducting accredited courses Robinson College has R.P.L., Access and Equity, and Assessment Grievance Policies. If you wish to obtain a copy of these please contact us.
RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for accredited courses. If you wish to have prior experience or qualifications recognised please contact us for further information. Please note that a fee will apply if you choose to proceed with RPL.
Certificates: Accredited Courses
Students who successfully complete the requirements of our accredited courses automatically receive a qualification. If you do not achieve all competencies, a Statement of Attendance will be issued as for non-accredited courses.
Certificates: Non-Accredited Courses
Students in non-accredited courses will be issued with a Statement of Attendance on the authority of the tutor provided they attend a reasonable number of sessions.
Children
Where a class is advertised as a class for children (eg. Drawing for Youngsters) all participants must be under 15 years of age. Children under 15 years of age who wish to join an adult class, can only do so if accompanied by a responsible adult. Children who are not enrolled in a class cannot accompany participants into an adult class.
Disabled Access and Special Needs
Robinson College has disability access and conveniences. Please inform us in advance if you have special needs.
Courses at other Venues
Some of our courses are arranged in conjunction with other organisations. In such case we may not have control over the venue, the dates, or changes that occur in time or venue. However, we will do our best to ensure your needs are accommodated at all times.
Membership
Robinson College is an incorporated association. Membership of the College costs $2.20 per year. Members are entitled to attend the AGM, be nominated and vote for the committee of management. We would like your involvement if you are interested. Membership is not a prerequisite for participation in a class.
Payment and Refund Policy
Robinson College makes every effort to run courses as advertised and classes normally will proceed provided there are enough people in the course, and provided the fees have been paid. Fees MUST be paid in full before a course starts and payment of fees commits participants to their course. Once the decision has been made to run the course there will be no refunds. However in cases of hardship refunds will be assessed on an individual basis. Where there are too many people for a class, positions will be allocated on a first paid basis.
Public Holidays
If a session of your course falls on a public holiday it will not be conducted on that date and your course will be extended by one session, or by arrangement with the tutor.
GST
All prices include GST where applicable. Where no GST is payable it is signalled by the NO GST symbol.
